I have kept journals of our adventures with the kiddos but I don't always have a notebook handy when some of the conversational gems happen. I have gotten in the habit of emailing myself some of the funny quotes so that I can remember to add them to my notebook. I was sorting through my inbox and realized I had a few good ones in there. These are from the last few months. Not necessarily in order.
During the phase when Dashiell talked quite often about the 10 baby Junies he had in his tummy...
D: My Junies are getting big.
M: How big are they?
D: 11,100
M: That's really big.
D: Yeah, they are coming out soon. Soon I will need to go to the hospital so I can have my Junies.
Later on...
D: My Junies are sleeping in their cribs.
M: Where?
D: In my tummy.
M: They must be crowded.
Some other time....
D: My Junies' favorite ice cream is pumpkin ice cream.
One morning when he was telling me about his bedtime the night before...
D: I sneaked out.
M: Where did you go?
D: Nowhere. I just peeked my little eyes out and daddy brought me more milk.
During a Super Why obsession phase....
D: Does Super Why go poop?
M: Yes
D: Does he make sure his cape doesn't touch the water?
M: Yes
D: Yeah, and if he wants to reach something the fire on his shoes shoots him up so he can reach it.
